Invertec Foods has developed a strict Agricultural Program with the objectives of assuring the right supply and quality of raw material and be able to control and have traceability of the different products manufactured at its facilities.

For the supply of fresh vegetables as raw materials, Invertec Foods has more than 100 contracted growers that are supervised by Invertec`s Agricultural Team from seeds, nursery at green houses, plantation at the orchards, harvest and delivery to the processing plant. In addition, the team gives technical support, ensuring proper monitoring and implementation of the phytosanitary program and tools to enhance productivity of the fields.

Following its commitment with INNOVATION, Invertec Foods developed an Experimental Field, where new vegetables and varieties are tested to learn and improve harvest practices and technical features about them. Working closely with customers, meeting their requirements in a

controlled area where variations can be made over the seasons, Invertec Foods has developed a vary range of projects with agrochemical suppliers, universities and other institutions, increasing productive potential and functionality of its vegetables. The company also broadened its specialization through a genetic improvement program, by developing its own seeds, and by purchasing seeds which has lead to greater productive efficiency and high quality raw material.

For the supply of fresh fruits as raw materials, the company owns apple and grape orchards, which represent part of the total volume needed for its processes. For the rest of the volume, the company has alliances with

packing houses and different companies to assure availability of raw material. In apples, main raw material for Invertec, special programs have been conducted due to the complexity of logistics and of defining stocks, apple mix and supply times.

For that reason, critical points that affect this segment`s optimal performance have been redefined in order to achieve better control and maximum yields in the future, thus improving competitiveness. In addition, the Traceability Control Program with suppliers has been reinforced and broadened, in accordance with food security regulations.
